This website is the author website of Vincent J. Tomeo. It is a small, quiet site, and it collects as little as it can get away with.
What you send us
If you use the AI Reader Assistant, send a message through it, or email the author, we receive what you type: your name if you give it, your email address if you give it, and the content of your message. Nothing more is asked of you.
What is collected automatically
There are no analytics trackers, no advertising pixels, and no profiling scripts on this site. The web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. Those logs are rotated and are not used to build a profile of anybody.
How your information is used
- To answer your question about the books, prices, or availability.
- To reply to a reading, interview, or permissions request.
- To send you a note when a new book or a scheduled reading is announced, if you asked for that.
Your details are never sold, rented, or traded. They are not used for advertising.
Who else sees it
The author and the small team that maintains this website are the only people who read your message. Messages may pass through the email and hosting providers used to run the site. If you follow a link to Amazon or Apple Books and buy a book there, that purchase is between you and that retailer, under their privacy policy.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Mailing-list details are kept until you ask to be removed. You can ask at any time and it is done.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and it will be handled.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to messages is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
