Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They are used for things like keeping you signed in, remembering a preference, or counting visits.

Cookies set by this site

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no tracking cookie. The AI Reader Assistant does not store a cookie either; it holds the conversation in the page while you have it open, and forgets it when you close the tab.

Third parties that may set cookies

• Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a security cookie (commonly __cf_bm) to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. It expires within about half an hour.
• Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google's font service. No cookie is set for this, but your browser does make a request to Google's servers.
• Amazon and Apple Books. Only if you click a buy link. Those retailers set their own cookies on their own sites, under their own policies.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking third-party cookies does not affect anything on this site, since the site does not depend on them.
